Typically Salata is just Tomatoes, Cilantro, Onions, and Lemon. But we wanted to add some more vegetables in because it gives it some great texture that will make every bite so satisfying. Our ingredients, such as the cucumber and carrots, give it such a satisfying crunch and it goes so well with Afghan Rice.
This is usually dressed in lemon juice but you can also top it with some olive oil and some black pepper as well. This will give it that extra flavor profile you’re craving.
Feel free to add plenty of different vegetables to this. Radishes, bell peppers, and fresh herbs go great with this. We love the dried mint addition as well.

Storage Recommendations
Refrigeration
Seal the Salata in airtight containers. We highly recommend using airtight containers such as Skroam’s 10 Pack Glass Containers because glass is best! You will need this because of the fresh ingredients of the Salata. This will ensure a longer timeframe of it staying fresh.
Separate dressing from salata
if you decided to add a different type of dressing to your Salata, make sure to try and separate them from the vegetables. Store it separately and this will help the salata be less soggy.
avoid freezing
Do not freeze the Salata because freezing certain vegetables will alter the texture and we do not recommend it at all.
please do not reheat
This should not even have to be said but please do not reheat your salata in a microwave or stove. That would not be salata anymore lol!
