Tips on Making The Best Jalapeño Popper Dip
Quality Ingredients: Start by using some fresh, high quality ingredients because you will not regret it. Use ripe jalapeños, awesomely flavorful cheese, and the creamiest of sour creams/cheese you can get your hands on. It will make a world of difference in flavors.
Roasting Your Jalapeños: Make an effort to watch your jalapeños while they’re roasting so you can make sure they’re perfect. This is a crucial step for the flavor. Evenly char them to bring out that perfect smokiness you’ll need for this Jalapeño Popper Dip!
Balance The Heat: This is your chance to adjust the spiciness of your Jalapeño Popper Dip. Use however many jalapeños you want, the more you use, the spicier it’ll be. Deseed them more if you want a milder spiciness, but for extra heat, keep those seeds in there!
Textures: Try and aim for a smooth and creamy texture for your Jalapeño Popper Dip. Get the cream cheese as soft as possible so you can thoroughly mix it in with the other ingredients and that way you can avoid having the annoying lumps.
Baking Time: Keep an eye out for this as while it’s baking, you’re trying to achieve the perfect golden-brown crust. This all depends on the oven that you’re using so you will have to adjust the baking time slightly to prevent any burning. Keep an eye out for bubbling around the edges and a golden brown top. Then it’s ready!
Complimentary Dippers: If you’re bringing this to a gathering of some sort, then be sure to bring those complimentary dippers! Pair it with some Baguette Slices, Crackers or Chips

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes, you can easily adjust the spice level by controlling the number of jalapeños used and whether you include the seeds. For a milder dip, deseed the jalapeños and/or reduce the quantity used. For extra heat, leave some or all of the seeds intact.
You certainly can. You can prepare the dip up to a day in advance. Simply cover it tightly and store it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to bake it. Just be aware that you may need to add a few extra minutes to the baking time if the dip is cold from the fridge.
If you prefer a gluten-free version of the dip, you can substitute the breadcrumbs with crushed gluten-free crackers or even finely chopped nuts, such as almonds or pecans. This will still provide a delicious crunchy topping.

I made this recipe for Christmas Eve, and it was a huge hit! My family (myself included!) is pretty wimpy when it comes to spice. So, I made a double batch, but used the same amount of jalapeños for a single batch and it was the perfect amount of heat for everyone. Also, the breadcrumbs are great on top! I’m totally going to use that breadcrumb combo to top my artichoke dip the next time I make it 🙂 We served Halfgan’s jalapeño popper dip with veggies and pita chips, and we’ll definitely be making this again! Thanks for a good crowd pleaser!
